This part here is important for everyone because usually people don't care what happens to things they like or are a part of UNTIL it affects them. Then they get angry but it's too late to put out that fire. So it's best to see it now and do something about it than not do anything and watch something you used to love die.

Custom bricks are fine. Regarding custom printed bricks, the case literally says (part 2.9), “We understand that the AFOL Community would still like to celebrate their community events and activities via use of customized items and are pleased to confirm that according to current corporate policy fans are free to print graphics on LEGO brick elements and custom builds made of LEGO brick elements to celebrate your community activities and events.” This applies to Minifigures too. The prohibition is only not to print other brands or trademarked images on Minifigures, because they are themselves trademarked, which apparently causes a problem under trademark law. There is a separate part (2.6.1.2.4) that says that *BrickLink sellers* agree not to sell any printed or customized parts. This a rule for the LEGO-owned reseller marketplace, and is part of the terms of service that the sellers agree to.

So if HA bricks permanently changed the appearance then whats the problem. Are we not allowed to modify our own bricks. There's no end of chinese companies imitating lego but they go after the one that actually does a good job and pieces lego don't do. Why not work with HA bricks, buy them up and do another line of models etc with HA bricks running that line. How the f*ck can lego have rules after you purchase their product. Surely if you can't modify and resell lego then selling sets missing figures and bricks isn't allowed either. Urgh can just picture lego suing for the customer data and then suing the customers too. I wouldn't be surprised, if they can't get those in china then they'll get the customers. Morons. Perhaps if lego fulfilled what people want or need for models people wouldn't modify their own or purchase modified ones.

I kind of get it in some ways but Lego's rules by and large seem to assume their enthusiasts are dumb.

If Lego supplies all of us train enthusiasts with products like the very badly shaped ‘Orient Express’ (an insult for the original designer AND the legendary train itself) for ridiculous prices, they should not be surprised that we look elsewhere for better ways of design, building and spending our money on brick-build trains.

As a long time Lego fan, I had enough of this company. I am selling all my modern Lego and will not buy any new item. The fun is gone. Looking at Lego makes me feel sick now. It’s a pity the masses will not know how selfish this company is. Let’s hope this will terribly backfire on them.

The global Lego fan base provides free marketing for the Lego Group that creates adoption of new Lego fans leveraging the "network effect" over the last 30 years. The fan base needs to be encouraged. Then Lego goes and stops these fans via litigation. Without these fans Lego would have never been such a successful global toy company. This action for me by the Lego group has provided a sinister and negative view of Lego. I will definitely be having this thought when considering to buy Lego in the future.

So how are HA Bricks sets and printed elements different from Brickmania sets and printed elements?

I think more people will turn to using clone bricks. I didn't own any clock blocks, but that’s will change. Lego is not giving the track options, We need.
